Where has customer service gone?

This seems to be a question that people ask all over. We Americans have turned into a society of consumers. Customer service is almost non existant anymore. The internet has allowed many, many people to become financially secure without having to face their customers. I see things differently. In my opinion customer service is a must. If you want your business to succeed, your customers must say good things about you. One bad experience can cost you many customers. I will go out of my way to satisfy a customer. I hope that consumers will give me a chance and find out that I am honost and customer service oriented. Please visit my site http://www.deezcandleholders.com/ .



Please post any experience you have had with customer service....either through the internet or with a local business. I have 2 examples I would like to share.



#1. I joined a site that was gauranteed to get you a certain amount of traffic in a month. They didn't make that amount and still charged my card. So, I contacted them slightly upset they did not withhold their end of the bargain and expected me to take another month. They literally told me that the program I was in had way to high volume and they couldn't meet my expectations. So, I stopped my service with them and they did not refund my money. After a few months and after being told that they couldn't refund, I finally said to them, "So your gaurantee means basically nothing?"....They did refund all of my money but I did have to fight for it.



#2. Pizza Hut. Every one has problems of one sort or another with Pizza delivery. Usually they will fix the problem but this time was different. My boyfriend, Bruce, called and placed the order. He ordered the deal they had at the time which included 2 pizzas, a two liter of soda, a salad and hot wings, he also asked for extra blue cheese dressing. When the delivery person arrived he did not have our salad or extra blue cheese dressing. We called them back and they said it would be brought out. The delivery guy came back without the extra blue cheese dressing. He said that his manager told him not to bring it because Bruce had swore at him on the phone. I called the manager. The manager told me that it was not on the original order. I said why not? I heard Bruce place the order, and not only that a minute ago you said you could not find the original order so how do you know? We went rounds and this guy was not willing to do anything to satisfy me. I told him that I would never order from him again and I haven't. We used to order pretty regularly and it has taken us a while to find a pizza we like. But now Pizza Man has our service. I hope they can keep it.
